I was concerned when I was informed that I was meeting my super hip daughter at this posh Vietnamese restaurant since I normally gravitate to the hard core street food versions found on Bellaire, but WOW, this place knocked it out of the park with the food and atmosphere! For those that don't know, this place is situated in one of the ritzy areas of Houston where many first dates occur and the singles mingle surrounded by other cool restaurants and hi-end shopping. A great place to see exotic cars parked along side the shops. Anyway..... back to the food: It was good! Check out every ones pictures, and there are many, and I think you will agree.

Love this place! Food, bar, service, vibes all 10/10 There is something on the menu for everyone. My go to appetizers are Chicken Dumplings & Fire Cracker Beef. For main dishes, I love the Spicy Chicken Stir Fry and Shaking Beef. We ordered 2 apps and 1 entree for the 2 of us and it was just the perfect amount of food. The only downside is we went for my birthday and were told that desserts are no longer on the house, even though they used to be. The drinks are great and there's even a cocktail lounge upstairs that is fun to hangout at

I enjoyed! Love the vibe of the restaurant very swanky decor. The patio is cute and covered, but it's Houston so it's a really warm day. You might want to book for an inside table. Staff was very accommodating. The food was good but none of the dishes truly stood out to me other than the vanilla crème brûlée dessert.

We came here for a work dinner and wow! First of all the restaurant is beautiful! We walked in and since we had a reservation they sat us immediately. We started with the spicy yellowfin tuna tartare and vegetable roll which were both good. For my entree I had the Shaking Beef and it was AMAZING! My coworkers had the roasted salmon, seared yellowfin tuna, half roasted duck and the spicy calamari and shrimp stir-fry. Everyone enjoyed their selections. For dessert we tried the warm chocolate cake, passion fruit panna cotta and the vanilla crème brûlée. The prices are on the higher end but it is definitely worth a visit plus service was great!

Le Colonial was everything I thought it would be, so happy I finally got to visit! I don't do upscale too much but appreciate the ambiance and thoughtfulness of not only the menu but the entire atmosphere. This place is just gorgeous. We came here for a business lunch and the service was excellent. We split a number of appetizers like vegetable rolls, coconut sticky roll, brussel sprouts and green beans. Every. Single. Thing. Was. Delicious. But I had to remember to save room for the main course, the shaking beef. Perfectly marinated filet mignon bites served with a nice, fresh salad. Fabulous place for a celebration, business lunch or nice catch up with an old friend!

Never had egg rolls like these before! The fish sauce tasted perfect and didn't leave the usual fish sauce breath. The Bo Luc Lac (Shaking Beef) was exquisite since Filet Mignon was the cut! I believe they provided high quality ingredients and this is a bit upscale for Vietnamese food. Service was great. You'll enjoy the decor inside. I just didn't like where I was seated since it was a bit awkward facing a couple eating. I'm glad I tried it.

After dinner night cap only... it's a beautiful bar, felt transported to Asia. It's dim lit but not dark. It's warm and comfortable. The interior is filled with plants so it really feels exotic which matched the well crafted litchi martinis. Wanna go back for dinner, will report back ;)
